Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship programme of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aimed at fostering sustainable rural development through active participation of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs). The programme emphasizes Village Adhyayan (village study), participatory planning, convergence with government schemes, and technology-enabled monitoring.
Government Degree College Sugh-Bhatoli, located in the rural region of District Kangra, proposes to establish a dedicated UBA Cell to institutionalize structured engagement with nearby villages. The Cell will act as a bridge between the College, rural communities, Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), and the UBA Regional Coordinating Institute (RCI).
